~Mizuki Sakaki 「Lovely Idol。らぶドル」 榊瑞樹~
Always wanted her since I watched the anime, even though it wasn’t really a great anime whatsoever. My standards were lower back then (duh, like I have standards now :p) so I liked it, and the trading figures of them that were released weren’t quite for me since I try to avoid trading figures. Initially slated for a Nov release, Mizuki kept getting delayed till this month and after the long wait, she’s finally here! ^^
And the ED of the anime that pretty much was what killed me for the anime I suspect ^^;
Pretty sweetish, cutey ED. Not too sure why they’re in orange while the figure is in pink, sure would like to know that myself actually ^^;
Pretty much looking like the prototype, although the base is kind of a shocker. It’s just rather cheesy for me, hopefully it doesn’t glow in the dark or something when I turn off the lights ^^; One peg goes into each foot, so stability might be an issue, though her legs feel solid and the figure does seem pretty well balanced. Only time will tell I guess.
And yeah, Mizuki is my favorite out of the six of them. I just had to grab her even if the anime wasn’t great, and if the figure isn’t exactly spectacular.
Hair is lovely and of a really nice color. Kinda sad that her right ribbon on the hair seems to be slightly popping out, but thankfully thats only visible from the rear.
The trading figures had the edge in that u could sort of dress them up. No such gimmicks for this figure though. What you see is pretty much what you get. No cast off option either, which is fine by me so it’s not too big a deal.
Top is pretty sweetly done, though paint job is suspect in some areas which are arguably rather difficult to do well I suppose such as the insides of her sleeves as well as hands. Those aren’t too visible areas as well so I’m not too bothered.
All in all a sweet costume =D Lotsa pink and just the right amount of ribbons. I like how there’s just one ribbon on her right sleeve, and one ribbon on her left stocking, and then the two in the midsection xD
Pretty ugly mold mark on the right side of her skirt though. Smack right at the frontal area too where it pretty much screams for attention. Wouldn’t have minded the mold mark too much if it was somewhere less visible since I’m partial towards these things but to be right in the forefront. Not too obvious in pic 16, but it’s there if you look really hard :/

Yes I do play the guitar and I’m not crazy enough to go out and get some instrument to use as a prop. And yes, from the dust you see, I haven’t been touching it for quite a while ^^; Enjoy!
Once again not a figure for everyone (I tend to grab these types of figures lots don’t I? ^^;), but a fairly decent figure in most departments. The character aside, hair color as well as her pose is definitely the top draw for me. The base is kinda yucky but I’ve since convinced myself that the shape of it makes it smaller, so less space is required xD

I am sure Mizuki is everyone’s favorite, since she is the one we follow the most in the anime.
I am also surprised to see her in pink while it is orange in the anime. But well, pink looks quite nice too, so ffwwiiouu good point ^^;

I don’t like her at the beginning as she was unfriendly but changed my impression of her when she begin to open with the others…

@lu-k: Haha, at least you manage to save on econ shipping, after waiting for so many months, a few more days is ok I guess. I would love to go eco ship as well, but my eco shipments always get taxed and held up, so it ends up to about the same cost as going EMS.
Not a lot of time to play the guitar these days, the games are slowly piling up, and there’s no one I know that likes the type of music that I like, so I guess I’ll be letting a bit more dust pile up on it ^^;
@Samejima: Yeah, it was certainly a nice touch when she opened up to the others and started to enjoy herself more, liked her from the beginning even when she was cold and liked her even more after that xD

actually, this was one of the figures that I had preordered, and then decided to cancel. She’s definitely a cutie, but after she went through my rigorous critical flailings, she didn’t pass. Not enough detail for me.
Nice work with the guitar, man! Lighting for #25 is especially well matched!
Very idol like ^^, considering what anime it’s from there is no doubt in why they chose that pose; though I never watched the anime so I’m not quite sure xD. The clothes are nice, though I would prefer it if she didn’t have lovely idol on her blouse, it’s just me ;P.
So after so many months of waiting you finally got her ^_^. She’s very nice indeed, the hair is great, normally I don’t go for winking figures but this is in the right proportions because sometimes when they make a figure winking the opened eye becomes too big and then the figure loses its touch and cuteness.

@Radiant: Yeah, I thought that you had her pre-ordered, though I suspected as well that she would be quick to line up on the chopping board with you, heh.
@AS: Same goes for me actually, I’m not too keen on the “Lovely Idol ” logo on her top. But I guess the design is already simple enough, and the designer probably had to spice things up a little ^^; Which idol in real life actually wears their own stuff anyway? xD
@Belela-san: Heheh, yeah, she’s finally here xD Offhand I don’t recall too many winking figures with the exception of Ikuno’s optional face, and since I didn’t go for that, I must not be a fan of winks as well ^^;
With that said though, a winking face is pretty hard to achieve without messing things up so it’s great at least that Mizuki turn out well in the end =D Am eagerly waiting for your shots of the Shuraki as I told you, get it up soon yeah?

im still wondering if i should snatch her or not. the delays just took her off my mind, but the pink and the purple… is a too tempting temptation.
nice work with the guitar there, but i’m pretty much fail at recognizing guitars. only know how to play them.^^
@rain: Heheh, yeah, the delay worked out to be a pretty bad factor for this figure, gave others a lot of time to rethink and the announcement of other figures that are pretty awesome didn’t help either. I’d say go for it if you liked the character but it’s definitely not one of those “must-buys”.
