~Feena 「夜明け前より瑠璃色な」 フィーナ~

Not really one to go for swimsuit figures, Feena ended up in my collection somehow despite a prior cancellation. Kinda dumb that I gave up on the early bird preorder, only to order her again when she was released. I think people mostly wait till release to sneak a peek at the actual before canceling, I just have to be dumb and do things in a somewhat reverse way ^^;

For a swimsuit figure though, I actually am rather fond of her, maybe it’s her character design I guess, I never even gotten a Saber in swimsuit voluntarily before. Granted, the Saber swimsuits out there aren’t exactly the best (and not much intention of worrying about a nice one that absolutely loves to lean by all accounts). The rest of my other swimsuits, I pretty much got them just for the heck of it. Feena though, somehow strikes a chord with me =)

Never did expect a little support stand to be present just for the hat, but I guess it can’t really be helped since without it, the hat is gonna fall with the slightest movement, or if u manage to grip it, the fingers would one day give way. 2 pegs go into her right foot with another into her left on a pretty sweet base. The pareo around her waist can be removed, not by design like the Shuraki series, but rather Feena’s top half can be detached from just under her chest which allows you to slide the pareo off.

While I like this figure, I feel it’s more by virtue of character design rather than quality. Paint job all around is rather lacking though it isn’t exactly very obvious unless you look closely. Rough patches of paint abound on her hair, which is rather disappointing considering Max Factory is certainly capable of better. Paint doesn’t seem to adhere to the lines either. Her face is perfectly alright though, as well as the pareo. But quality freaks might have a hard time accepting this figure, or they could hope that I just gotten a dud figure that escaped QC ^^;

Can’t fault the figure sculpt-wise though. Even with a pretty poor paint job, her hair still sort of looks good for me.

Perhaps I got spoiled by the Shuraki line, since I was desperately searching for the way to remove the pareo just so I could remove the protective plastic wrapping underneath it, when all along I was supposed to just split the figure into half via the top. Couldn’t really detect a seam line since the top slightly overlaps and fits snugly enough, if it weren’t for a slight wobble, I probably would have a damaged figure on my hands by now ^^;

I really like the view of her back, pity it’s obscured by her hair unless u look from a lower angle. For a plain-ish swimsuit, there’s enough details in the form of those jingly things to prevent boredom.

Hat comes with a slight indent at the rim so u know where to place it in Feena’s hands. It actually fits on her head as well if you prefer it that way, saves you the pain of staring at a support rod if you place the hat on her head I guess.

Pretty cool design on the pareo, adds a whole lot more life to the figure as well. Normally swimsuit figures tend to be rather boring somewhat for me. The pareo is definitely a nice touch.

I’m really leaning towards the idea that it’s the pareo that makes this figure work so much for me ^^

Nice legs. Nice sandals. Nice toes. xD

If you’re not really into either Feena or swimsuits, this figure probably wouldn’t be a nice grab since there are the quality issues. But still, they aren’t really as bad as I might have made it sound. It’s still certainly much better than other figures out there but if perfectness is what you sought after, this probably won’t be for you. If you’re looking for a figure thats pleasing to the eye and comes with pretty cool accessories, you might wanna consider this =)
