~Ikuno Komaki 「TH2AD」 小牧郁乃~
Hey there, with shino yapping about throwing in the towel and whining about how his pc is dying on him, and wishing that his photoshop would die so he wouldn’t have to deal with photos no more, I, the REAL Mr. To Heart 2, have taken it upon myself to do this post :p
Ikuno has always been the character I liked most in Another Days, so a release of her in PVC form was certainly very welcomed by me. I certainly do go for the weirder figures I guess, not that Ikuno’s any bad, but I would think that there actually IS a limit as to how many To Heart 2 figures should be in a collection :p
No intrusive pegs or anything. Kotobukiya were even nice enough to provide a clear, pink base when it isn’t even needed. The rear wheels of the chair can be rotated, but the front ones won’t so all in all it is pretty stable.
Comes with an interchangeable face piece as well that depicts her sticking her tongue out mischievously. Didn’t include that in the photos since I very much prefer the stock face, and damaging figures come easy for me when I mess around with them ^^;
From her left profile, she really does resemble her sister, Manaka. Ikuno’s hair is done nicely for this figure, as well as the face. Not much to complain about really, except of course, this is ANOTHER TH2 figure. :p
While most of her top is obscured by the book she’s clutching, the details that are visible are something I like alot. Like the creases in her elbow region and sleeves in general, as well as her skirt.
While in a way the wheelchair looks simplistic, it does have have it’s pluses to it. No workmanship issues for the chair either.
Probably won’t be my last TH2 figure I suspect. Thankfully I’ve resisted the maid series by Kotobukiya and have therefore saved on the cash as well as the space. Stuff being released by Taki Corp is something I would never touch as well. A nice figure, though kind of questionable maybe in a way due to the wheelchair aspect. Ah wells, for some, collecting figures in and of itself is a questionable practice already anyways ^^;

I loved the To Heart animes. I feel that they are one of the best anime out there. I love to get this figure. The problem is my current budget. Trip to Japan is taking it’s toll…

I find the eyes on this figure a bit too big for my taste but her concept is very nice.
The picture where the blinds are on the foreground makes you look a bit…suspicious lol. I was never interested in TH but the figure itself looks nice. Great lighting for the last set of pictures, it sets the mood quite well. A kind of relief or relaxation view.
@Samejima: Heheh yeah! TH2 Rocks!! xD I know how you feel too man, Mar/Apr wasn’t a smooth ride for the wallet for sure. Hopefully May gives me some time to recharge ^^;
@ron~: In a sense, I wouldn’t say TH2 is awesome, but I like the diverse cast of characters they have in there. It just somehow feels different to me from all the other harem-type animes.
@Rin: For a trip to Japan, I’d be willing to make lots of sacrifices as well! =) Who knows? You might even be able to get the figures you passed up in recent times at a cheaper price in Japan, then you’ll be thankful that you held back.
@Belela-san: Haha, I’m really not worthy of that title, there’s definitely others out there with even more massive collections of many different types. Granted, I did almost want to kill someone when I initially missed out on the TH2 G’s Festival issue. But hey, at least I’m satisfied with owning just one issue, the real fans would probably grab more ^^;
@AS: Heh, I AM a suspicious character actually >.>; To tell you the truth, the photos are just a release of what I would LOVE to do in RL, but don’t have the jones to do so xP
Nice to see you’re playing around with photoshop and all. That last photo looks quite pleasant, though monochrome. Good soft focus. I wish that the wheelchair was actually chrome though. The process for making chrome painted plastic isn’t all that difficult or expensive, but I guess it would detract from what’s important - the figure, which by the way is really sweet looking. Where do you find the space for all this?!
@Radiant: Well, once in a very blue moon, I actually am willing to try different stuff for kicks. I actually liked the last photo the most though, maybe I have to do additional tweaking for subsequent tries.
Don’t know if it would look nicer if the wheelchair were chrome, don’t see too many chromey wheelchairs in the real world either, but then again, I don’t go out enough to make a conclusive statement ^^; No more space man, no more space, IKEA sickeningly beckons once again -_-”
I ordered then cancelled this….however I ordered one for a friend of mine and when it did come in I wish it was mine~

@Aya Kyunik: I think you’re kind of lucky though, in the sense that you don’t have to grab everything and still have the chance to look at other figures and possibly borrow them for shoots and maybe get them for yourself if you feel inclined to. I pretty much have to take risks by myself since there aren’t many around me that collect figures.
And you really don’t have to mind that you can’t visit too often, though I wish you’d update more often on your end :p But life takes over and thats understandable so don’t worry about it =)
