~Alice Carroll 「Aria・アリア」 アリス・キャロル~
Got her since she was on sale, as well as I never did have anything Alice, even though I arguably liked her the most in Aria somehow. Never did try too hard to get the Alice by Solid Works since putting her together with the rest of them would prove to be somewhat difficult. So just made do with the Punit, and it’s a lot cuter too :p
Same deal with Suigintou, with her feet clamped together and held ala trading figure style. Fabric for clothes, and very annoying head gear that never stays in place when the figure is shifted -_-” Big heads are cute, but they’re a nightmare for head gear I suppose :/
In the pictures, her left hand is supposed to support her oar, but couldn’t quite manage that with mine. Guess the inconsistencies of mass produced figures rears its ugly head again. At least the right hand grips the oar just fine. Odd how the base is so small that when the figure is placed on it, the ARIA logo gets obscured by her boots. And while Punits are relatively small and easy to display, I failed to calculate how much space the oar would take up ^^; Should have gone with the Solid Works Alice after all maybe :p
Could have gotten Akari as well, but since I already have the Solid Works version of Akari, I just went with Alice this time. Personally, the Punit Akari didn’t quite work for me as well. Alice was the one for me xD
Hair is considerably done a lot rougher than was Suigintou’s. With some excess spots here and there which thankfully get covered up somewhat by the beret.
Since Suigintou’s clothes were mostly of suede-type material, it wasn’t really obvious back then. But for Alice, the stitches seem to me to be of 1:1 scale on a small figure, so it becomes rather unnatural somewhat. It isn’t badly done by any means, and I guess it can’t be helped, but it certainly can be a cause for complain for some.
Pretty painful patch of hair to behold, but the idea of this shot was actually to show the sleeves with the Orange Planet logo and her glove and cute stubby fingers :p I could have sworn I did a shot of her right hand as well, but that photo somehow disappeared ^^; Computers been acting pretty funky lately as well :/
Stitches were made on the lower half of her uniform to give the clothes more of a “flowy” look.
Oar is decently done, as well as her boots. Can’t complain much about them.
Nothing too elaborate, and not too many shots this time as well. Hopefully in some shots you’ll be able to picture a sunset, but that’s a long shot really :p
It definitely won’t be easy to plonk 5700 Yen + shipping on this figure. Unless you really like Aria (or Alice), or she’s on sale, or you have money to burn, or you’re a completist and you stupidly got into the Punit series :p For me, she’s cute and worth it despite some flaws (not too mention she was on sale!), but I highly doubt that applies to everyone out there. So far the Punit collection has been fun for me, it’s something nice to add to a collection, but it wouldn’t be something that I would claim to be “necessary” in every collection.

agree, 5700 yen for this figurine is way too much…
Alice looks nice but it’s the *spoiler, non-prima Alice, how disappointing lol. If the hat was a little bigger on the bottom rim it might have made her look better and perhaps easier for it to stay on one spot. Too bad about the hair but overall she looks cute.
That figure is a bit over priced. Some parts of the figure is a bit off…
All in all, it’s an okay figure…
wow, that’s pretty expensive… Probably because of the cost in making those clothes. I can’t say I really like the figure that much though - something weird about the size of her hair in relation to her face…
Somehow, I was rather confident to see pictures of this cute Alice figure on you blog… like almost all green-hair girls ^^
I was really tempted to purchase one too (with Akari, I dont like to separate couples), since her face’s so cute, but man, the price is repulsive
And as usual, ive got some other priorities regarding figures (a lot are finally being release those days)
You did something really good with that sunset effect. Always impressive!
Weird figure O.o not really my type, I guess I’m more for full PVC and dollfies
@ron~: Which is why I only ever grabbed the Punits while they were on sale, heh ^^
@AS: Yeah, considering it’s based on “Origination” as well, but Alice had more screen time as a Double anyways, so it’s understandable too :p The hat is actually pretty big, just that it’s kind of a stiff material and so tends to pop back up -_-
@Rin: Off as in paintjob wise? or structurally?
@Radiant: Most likely the clothes, can’t be much fun too stiching mini clothes with big equipment :p
@lu-k: Haha, I’m not really that into green-haired girls ^^; Just so happens that those characters are always the ones that catch my eye :p
The Punits are really cute but yeah, the price really holds one back. If they were cheaper, I definitely be swimming Rozen Maidens already xD
@Belela-san: Heheh. Just something different for me thats all. Hopefully it doesn’t become a habit too, not gonna be cheap in the long run ^^;
